While in Charleston, Shaina and I stopped in at Folly Beach right before sunset. The water was unbelievably warm, so we stayed for a while and I took a bunch of shots.(Click image for wallpaper version)

So I went to the Angel Oak while I was in Charleston. It’s neat and very large and interesting, but even early in the morning, there are people everywhere. It’s one of those places that’s been photographed, painted, sketched so many times, in a lot of ways it’s a hard place to take any interesting pictures. This shot is sort of a happy accident.

So a friend of mine was in town with his band, Pistol George Warren(http://www.myspace.com/pistolgeorgewarren or click the image) and wanted to do some shooting while he was here. I had to jump through a few hoops at work but I hate to not shoot when I have the opportunity. Here is a teaser, more to come on the website soon @ http://www.brendanburden.com

This summer my girlfriend took me to rural Quebec for my birthday. We rented a cabin on a lake and it was awesome. It was really nice to spend some time without an internet connection(even though we ranted angrily at the lack of one after making friends with Tanqueray 10) or television(which was not missed at all). After a few days at the cabin, we packed up and headed to Tremblant for the day before heading home. I didn’t shoot much while I was there, but on our way back through Tremblant, this tennis court caught my eye. It had sprinklers everywhere and was back-lit. I had never seen sprinklers on a tennis court before. Maybe that makes me small town or lacking culture or something like that, but I needed to stop and shoot this new discovery(click-through for a free desktop background).
